Once upon a time, in a distant realm, a kingdom where wisdom flowed like the meandering rivers, there ruled a monarch unlike any other. This was a sovereign devoted to his subjects, his kingdom, and the essence of existence itself.

With time’s gentle touch, the king found himself facing the ebb and flow of emotions that all beings encounter. With a compassionate and curious heart, he summoned his council of learned scholars, tasking them with crafting a talisman of solace. This token would lift his spirits in sorrow and restore his serenity in joy.

These scholars, guided by ancient tomes and inspired by celestial contemplation, embarked on a journey of thought and reflection. They wandered through the pages of history and the corridors of wisdom, seeking the answer to their sovereign’s earnest plea. And as their minds wove together the threads of countless tales, they uncovered a gem of insight that shone like a distant star through the tapestry of ages.

It was a profound and simple solution — a ring adorned with an inscription that held the key to the king’s yearning. The inscription read: “This too shall pass.”

Upon the presentation day, the scholars knelt before their monarch, offering the ring as a symbol of their unwavering devotion. As the king’s eyes traced the inscription’s letters, he felt its message’s weight resonate deep within his being.

In moments of melancholy, when shadows draped his spirit, he would gaze upon the ring and find solace in the reminder that even the darkest nights eventually surrender to dawn’s embrace. And in the zenith of his happiness, when laughter and light danced through his realm, the same words would anchor him, whispering that life’s splendours, too, are fleeting and must be cherished in their fleetingness.

And so, the wise king carried the ring upon his finger, a steadfast companion through the tapestry of his days. The inscription remained a beacon of perspective through trials and triumphs, sorrows and celebrations — a timeless mantra that transcended the boundaries of time and circumstance.

As the years flowed onward like the rivers of his kingdom, the king found himself not only the guardian of his land but a steward of the eternal wisdom encapsulated within those four simple words: “This too shall pass.” And thus, his legacy rippled through generations, an enduring reminder that life’s impermanence is both its challenge and its gift.

Whenever faced with challenges, and life will give you some, followed by the sweetness of success and joy, always remember, “This too shall pass”!
